Tomorrow I shoot my first destination wedding in Sweden. Southern Sweden is simply gorgeous, right near the ocean, with the most dewy light I have ever seen! I am shooting the couple’s first look in the woods near the groom’s father’s house! I am so excited it is doubtful i’ll sleep tonight. Tomorrow starts at 10, documenting the family coming together and having breakfast before they start to get ready. Can’t wait to post these!!
Till then, here are some snapshots from Copenhagen, where I stayed for a few days before traveling to Sweden.

I was in New York for Christmas Eve this year and … I fell in love ALL over again with that city. And then I fell DRASTICALLY out of love with it!! That jerk! Now that I’m away… I miss it all over again and have forgotten all about the hard times we had. Just like a beautiful codependent relationship… New York City had me all in knots;)
It started driving down from Boston, that skyline out ahead of us! Then a trip to Brooklyn turned my heart inside out! THR LIGHT! The light in Brooklyn is unlike all others! All that gorgeous morning light bouncing off the brick brownstones… Sigh. All that light… Just for me;).
Then I met Chris in midtown… Yeah. That was a great idea at the time. The train took 30 minutes to come to Clark street where I then learned it was only running LOCAL!!!! (!!!!!!). About an hour later I got out at Times Sq… I know, it was the worst idea ever… To meet Chris at Bryant park. And everyone seemed to want to run into me. I must have worn that big sign on my forehead “please give me anxiety!!!”. Oh- did I mention that it was 3 days before Christmas ?? And that we were in MIDTOWN?! Well… All of these things are accurate. I was so stressed after three blocks that the only escape was a Macy’s! I do not kid.
It was quite a relief to get out of the city that day. And I exhaled, telling myself how glad I was that we don’t live there anymore. How do New Yorkers do it?!?
And then, like a flash of lightning, I was missing it again. Wanting to go back the following morning.
But thats New York. You fall madly in love with her and then tear your hair out over everything she is doing to you. You simultaneously love and hate who she turned you into. “Why is it taking so long to make my coffee?!?” At every corner of that city, the best story you ever heard is waiting for you. The cold bites through you and the heat ruins all your carefully made plans. But you stick it out year after year as your rent increases and your friends move to a different borough. Because, it’s New York. And you have never had anything like her. She makes you feel alive again. She makes you move faster and work harder. It will always be the best of times and the worst of times, but the best never felt so good.
I love you New York City. I hope to see you again soon;)

Stopped by the Occupy Boston rally to see what all the fuss was about . . .
